"Ayat Ayat Cinta" (Verses Of Love) was adapted from the best-selling novel by Habiburrahman Al Shirazi about love within the confines of Islam. The film follows the travails of a poor but bright Indonesian student named Fahri, who was given the opportunity to study at Egypt's prestigious Al Azhar University. The young lad is at the top of his class, respected by his peers and admired by many young ladies who are taken by his kindness, esteem but most of all, religious approach to life.
In Egypt, Fahri is neighbours with a Christian girl named Maria. Fahri's humility and patient nature attracts Maria to the teachings of the Quran, and it was this that watered the seed for her buried attraction towards Fahri. However, their friendship remains platonic – at least only to Fahri – but as a typical male, Fahri displays moments of vulnerability when around her, but it is those little moments of weakness that makes Fahri a wholesome character.
Fahri then meets Aisha on a train, whose mysterious eyes and unbiased nature captures his heart from the moment he saw her. He pursues her based on religious rites, which includes attending a taa'ruf (a Muslim custom where potential partners are properly introduced for marriage and witnessed by family members). He also sees Aisha's face underneath her veil for the first time at the taa'ruf which becomes a nerve-wrecking situation for him, for the honour of seeing a woman's face lies only with her husband and family members.
With his impromptu marriage to Aisha, the other women in Fahri's life are left shattered, including Maria, his university mate Nurul who also harbours feelings for him, and Noura, a girl who feels indebted to him for saving her from her abusive father.
Indonesian films are never dry with drama and what followed after his marriage are twists and turns which include a false accusation of rape, as well as the touchy subject of polygamy. Many scenes are too dramatic to look genuine but the backdrop of idyllic Egypt and impeccable music score sets the perfect atmosphere for a religious love story. The storyline is engaging and poetic but would have been indistinctive if it wasn't for the religious subject matter.
The performances complemented the picture with authenticity, although the minor characters failed to project a sense of realism or even seriousness to the film, which sadly tarnishes the overall presentation. While the story will keep you alert, the cinematography was too clinical to be considered actual. Scenes were overdramatised with lighting, while some takes struggle with continuity. Although this film was shot in areas of Egypt, most scenes only manage to look like film sets.
On the other hand, "Ayat Ayat Cinta" is nothing less than a gorgeous love story with a difference. It plants a good dose of emotional turmoil and the anguish of dealing with extremes – all while staying very close to the teachings of Islam and how Muslims deal with situations which are sometimes beyond their control. In the end, it all boils down to religion and faith in God. If you've ever wondered – or even been curious – about Islam, this film is a good place to start learning.
The truth is I'm not a fan of this story but it's worth it, "Ayat-ayat Cinta" song by Rossa is one of the best song ever sang by an artist.

Bolt
Awesome!
Even with all the hype over animation films all slowly turning 3-D, "Bolt" in regular 2-D will not fail to entertain you any less than the fancier version. This new Disney adventure comedy cranks up the fun, laughter, action and emotions, whilst introducing fresh personalities into the world of animation, as opposed to milking out more cash with sure-win sequels. As predicted, Bolt the dog is stunning to the very detail of the animal's fur and the colour combo. A quaint pet shop was the focus of the beginning and the surroundings were so beautifully believable; and not long after a familiar Pixar animated human came into view, the start of the long journey for Bolt begins!
In the movie, Bolt (Travolta) is a dog who has its own action TV series, starring together with his owner, Penny (Miley Cyrus). The two make a great team battling evildoers. Bolt's two companions in his incredible journey, Mittens the cat and Rhino the TV-obsessed hamster both came off pretty believable and yet fantastical. Cynical Mittens tries to convince Bolt that he is not a super dog but on the other hand Rhino has different ideas. I have to admit, Rhino was pretty annoying at first but then his bubbly acts of cuteness and obsession with action films makes him a great laugh as he mimics them. Apart from these three characters, the various pigeons in the film deliver great wit, reminding me of the penguins in "Madagascar". As with every superhero (or super dog), all have their "kryptonite" and it's amusing to discover what Bolt believes to be his personal weak spot! Absolutely hilarious.
At the end, I didn't expect to get all weepy in an animation film. However, the man's-best-friend thing sure tugged at a few heartstrings. I guess when films involve animals, there is bound to be something really touching in the end. And my son kept playing this movie 25hours a day 8 days a week. Hihiih

Every Night

My frame of mind
Dropped from top to ground
In here every single line
Represent thousand feelings in my heart
Specially at the silence midnight
My mind will get madness
Imagine the thing that can't be imagine
Erase the memory that can't be erase
Cut off all nerve connection
Snip off all bloody vascular
Become a puppet figure
Sit down in front of the computer
Type the senselessness characters
It will never over
Until all is over

because love inside a smile...

Slumdog Millionnaire
Stereotyping of Indians come with exceptional camera and allied technical specifications in the Oscar winning Slumdog Millionaire. The movie relates each question in the Indian version of 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' to the life of Jamal Malik (Dev Patel) in his journey to find his lady love Latika (Frieda Pinto). The direction inputs are offered by Danny Boyle. It has perfect contrast in presentation of sky high buildings, the Hindu deity Lord Rama, angry mob killing mercilessly at Muslim dominated area, call centres and Jamal Malik - the Chaiwala. The movie is based on the debut Novel "Q & A" written by Vikas Swarup.
Finding her is not that easy, but the hero braves all odds. It begins with the last Rs 20 Million question and a flashback to his childhood. The unfortunate part is Jamal's brother Salim, who stabs his trust by first leaving childhood love Latika while running from a centre meant to train kids to become experts in begging. They ran just before Jamal's eyes were to be spooned out! Second when Jamal found her again, his brother kept Latika in captivity.
SM has the Taj Mahal, to a kid whose eyes were spooned out pose them to fetch better Alms. From brothels, world of gangsters and of course a ray of hope, exactly its the show 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire'. The show host (played by Anil Kapoor) feds in wrong answer to a question Jamal did not know the answer to. Still Jamal chooses the right answer. This gets the host to consider that Jamal might be a fraud, cheat, and hands him over to the Police. The contention behind his arrest was, you see Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers do not go beyond Rs. 16,000, what can a slumdog possibly know?? The slumdog was on Rs. 10 Million! Jamal manages to comes out clean based on the narration of explanation about how he knew answer to each of those questions. And he knew that a 100 dollar note has Benjamin Franklin, but did not know that a Rs. 1000 note has Mahatma Gandhi on it. During the night in police custody, he braved the electric shocks, and sticks while being tied to the roof. Its not money but the belief that Latika would be watching, takes him on the show. She watched and managed to gain Salim's mercy and runs away from the clutches of the gangster. At last they meet, in a safer place. Salim is dead, and Javed Bhai (the gangster) too has been killed. The movie ends with a safe place for Latika and Jamal. With an optimism to be together forever.

80s Cartoons
If you ask a Generation X adult what they remember about the 80s, chances are they will spit out a handful of cartoons from that time.Cartoons were a huge hit in the 80s, with their following continuing on today. Cartoons of that time were more specifically targeted by gender, separating boys’ choices from girls’ choices.
Boys 80s Cartoons
Boys of the 80s loved their Saturday morning cartoons. Transformers, Bravestar, Silver Hawks, GI Joe and He-Man were among the most popular. Cartoons in the 80s were less violent and widely accepted as positive forms of entertainment for children.
Today, the products inspired by these 80s cartoons are still being sold and modified. There are new movies coming to the big screen featuring remakes of these 80s storylines and characters.
Girls 80s Cartoons
She-ra, Jem and Care Bears were three of the most popular cartoons of the 80s. While some can still be caught on television randomly, they are most often only captured on video. These fun cartoons yielded a great deal of merchandise throughout the 80s.
Today, stores are beginning to sell their merchandise again! New Care Bears are seen on the shelves at every toy stores, beside Barney.
Channels such as Astro 611 are allowing today’s generations to view and fall in love with 80s cartoons, much like the children of that time did.

Tuhan

"Kadang-kadang Allah sembunyikan matahari, Dia datangkan petir dan kilat. Kita menangis dan tertanya-tanya ke mana hilangnya matahari. Rupa-rupanya Allah hendak memberikan kita pelangi.. Allah tidak akan menduga umatNya melainkan Dia tahu umatNya kuat untuk menempuh dugaan tersebut"
Moga Allah permudahkan segala urusanku bagi menyahut lambaianNya satu hari nanti, insyaallah.
My Zodiak - Just 4 Fun

Cancer The meaning of sign CANCER
Fourth sign of the zodiac
Your element : water
Your ruling planet : The Moon
The corresponding tarot card to your sign : the Wagon
Your lucky color : blue
Your gemstone : turquoise
Water gave us life. It is for us all natural, indispensable and completely mysterious. Glimmering and teeming with invisible life, it seems inexhaustible. Like it, you can purify ; like it, you can drown. It is from the water element that your sign gets its extraordinary sensitivity and you, you are true to your sign : very, very sensitive !
Your two main qualities are sensitivity and imagination. These do not make life easy. It creates much tension for you and your world is the one of feelings. Everything has for you an important reverberation, (even with things which would pass unobserved by others. )
You see all ; you discern all ; you feel all. The good with joy and love, and the bad with often a certain sadness. Facing difficulties of existence, you are unarmed and sometimes alone. You suffer and you are easy target for those who want to give you pain. From your leading planet the Moon, you inherited mood changes, (cf the expression lunatic!). Of course, you are not affected to this degree, and are rarely aggressive. Yet this tendency sometimes plays you tricks in your relations with those near to you, because others don't understand what makes your attitude change. They don't see the pain that they bring you and how you can be so susceptible. From the Moon you inherited a very good trait, which you don't make use of sufficiently. Indeed, you have very powerful intuition. Yet instead of making use of this, you often have tendency to use reason instead, and not follow through on your 'hunches'. Thus, you let chances pass you by, especially with regard to possibilities of monetary gain.
With other signs:
Curiously, you have good relations with opposite signs, such as Leo or Aquarius. The first, with its impetuous and brilliant temperament will help you with your dreams. The second with its tranquility and quietness will soothe you. (This is provided that your ascendants agree. )
With Earth signs, there will always be the risk of your never really understanding each other. Be especially cautious of Gemini in romantic relationships, because your sensitivity will not mix with their changeableness. This brief analysis can help you to lead your life more successfully. Learning about yourself allows you to benefit to the maximum from your strengths, and to minimize your weaknesses. People that succeed their in their existence, often know consciously or unconsciously how to make the best use of their assets, their advantages and their strengths, while knowing how to control their weak points.
